Ok, so the word mundane is a good word, I still kind of hate it. Mundane means boring. I have lived my entire life in an effort to never ever be bored. I just don't really know what direction to take my project. I want it to be an extension of me: "A Day in the Life of Carla". What the heck does that even mean? I love my life. I don't want to show people pictures of me pretending it's boring. It's great! I love everything that I do. So, yeah. That's what's going on with my project.
I know what you mean! I'm a little lost as to the direction I want to take mine, so I'm just taking a lot of photos. If you want suggestions I have an interpretation that could be helpful.
ReplyDeleteI don't think that "mundane" has to be "boring", just commonplace. You could chronicle the everyday things in your life. Just avoid anything that can be described as having grandeur or great meaning. Ex. Sometimes, when you're cooking or creating or whatever the product is anything but mundane, but the getting there can be (the clutter associated). I don't know if that's helpful.
I, too, am feeling a little iffy on my project. Nicole- what a great interpretation. I've got a bunch of pictures that are just of my everyday life- some of them I think are awesome... but I didn't try to make them awesome. Some are even accidental shots, or a picture of my bra on the floor. I still don't know how it's going to turn out or if I have a cohesive theme.... but I'm trying not to worry about that. I'm just going to put it together the best I can, and I have a feeling it will turn into something. Yours will too, Carla, I'm sure of it.
